In Argentina, this practice is regulated by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic and the Stock Exchange (Comisión Nacional de Valores). Among the transactions on which we provide advice on a regular basis are:
- Issuance of national, provincial and municipal debt: we have advised various Provincial and Municipal Governments on the planning and structuring of issuances of sovereign debt using different types of underlying assets as collateral;
- Issuance of shares: we have advised numerous domestic clients from different industries in their search for financing of their business. One of the most active industries in recent years has been that of the mining and hydrocarbon sector, for private placements as in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the Toronto Stock Exchange of Canada.
- Asset securitization: we specialize on issuance of securities guaranteed by a variety of underlying assets from the Capital Markets. Our clients are issuers, organizing banks, underwriters, and risk-rating agencies.
- Project financing: we have advised lenders in extremely sophisticated financing schemes with or without recourse, we have designed complex guarantee packages associated with all types of assets, such as pipelines, equipment, satellites, telecommunications licenses, credits and concessions of exploitation and transportation of oil and gas. We may also mention projects carried out under the Public-Private Participation system, where financing is one of the most important elements of an offer.
- Trusts and fideicomisos: these tools of multiple and successful application have allowed many of our clients to apply their assets to the development of specific projects or to secure financing for their projects.
- Real estate financing and financing of farming businesses: we have advised on transactions of Real Estate Developers in the building and structuring of Trusts for the developing of large urban complexes of various types in both private and Capital Markets spheres.
- Private banking and Estate Planning: Our specialized team of professionals has advised on matters of Private Banking and Estate Planning to banking and financing and to families and individuals with important estates. Moreover, we offer advice to fiduciary service providers with domestic and foreign clients.
